Experience & Background

Gordon has over 30 years’ experience as an IT professional in international blue-chip companies – latterly as IT Director at T-Mobile. In 2005 he became self-employed to focus exclusively on leadership. He trained as a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner and is an accredited Myers Briggs and Firo-B assessor. Gordon is currently also working on a research project at Cranfield School of Management.

What are your specialist areas?

Leadership training, leadership coaching and development consultancy, psychometric testing.

What words would you use to describe you professionally?

Inclusive, perceptive, focused, reflecting, challenging, intuitive and appreciating.

What are your professional goals?

To do things which I enjoy. To help others do what they do. To learn from others. To help others learn how they learn.

What is your greatest professional achievement?

Turning the closure of Galileo UK IT organisation from a lose-lose (confrontation between executives and employees) to a win-win where 98% of redundant staff were found alternative employment.

What is your favourite professional book, publication or article and why?

‘The Inner Game of Tennis’ by Timothy Galway. This book offers the simple universal truth that Performance = Potential – Interference (and doesn’t take too long to tell it !!)
